The Rise of Lothric
Born on a [[vinor vine]] plantation, not too far from the bustling city of Gloomwrought, [[Lothric of the Dark]], at the time simply known as Lothric, enjoyed a quiet upbringing thanks to the peace ushered in by the last Barren King. The child of a noble man and peasant woman, he was cast out as a bastard, given naught but simple food and shelter in his youth.
From the farmhands, Lothric heard tales of the brutal conflicts long past, of the heroes who brought the Dark Ones glory across the realms, and of the punishment of the Elder Gods who ripped magic from his ancestors minds. With little else to do in his youth, Lothric took to the streets of Gloomwrought seeking excitement and intrigue. The toil of constant conflict weighed heavily on the city; rubble lined the streets as merchants and workers set to rebuild the mighty city as it once was.
As he increasingly became a wallflower, Lothric overheard more and more of the Barren Kings, of the strength and power they wielded. With the passing of his mother, and little left for him on the farm, he set to carve his own path through the increasingly soft world around him.
